Safari operations at Sanjay–Dubri Tiger Reserve are conducted strictly within officially notified zones, ensuring conservation-first tourism.

✅ CORE ZONES (Official)

These zones form the strictly protected heart of the reserve. Safari access is limited, regulated, and permitted only under Forest Department guidelines.

1. Bastua Core Zone

• Official core safari zone

• Dense forest cover with prime wildlife habitat

• Integral part of the protected breeding landscape

2. Dubri Core Zone

• Official core safari zone

• Deep forest stretches with natural wildlife corridors

• Managed under strict conservation regulations

🟢 BUFFER / OTHER ZONES (Official)

These zones surround the core area and allow regulated safari movement, supporting conservation while engaging local communities.

1. Badkadol Buffer Zone

• Official buffer safari zone

2. Gaddudha Buffer Zone

• Official buffer safari zone

• Mixed forest terrain with active wildlife movement

3. Kolairiy Buffer Zone

• Official buffer safari zone

• Transition landscape between protected forests and surrounding areas
